"Hot Lips"

My entry in the Dixie Girls Paint Challenge July theme "hot". It was a bit of a challenge to come up with an idea that no one else might think of. I have this wonderful little teapot that I had been planning to paint for a long time. It was fun to paint.

"Girl in the Subway"

This is from a photo I took a couple of years ago while on a quick trip to New York City. Trying to take inobtrusive photos in a busy subway was quite a challenge, but I always knew that this was one scene I needed to capture in pastels. So many layers. Lots of drawing and redrawing to get the perspective right. I think my next painting will be hills and clouds - no lines!

"Tropical Breeze"

A little painting done with a palette knife. I wanted to use up some left over paint and try out some new palette knives. I still have a lot to learn, but I did use up the paint.
