This is from a photo I took a couple of years ago while on a quick trip to New York City. Trying to take inobtrusive photos in a busy subway was quite a challenge, but I always knew that this was one scene I needed to capture in pastels. So many layers. Lots of drawing and redrawing to get the perspective right. I think my next painting will be hills and clouds - no lines!
